First blog post

Hello all! This is my first blog post so bare with me while I get the flow of things. I wanted to start a personal journal of my success and fails in daily life of a mom and wife. And then I thought of those blogs I follow that have brought me much laughter, tears, understanding, and inspiration to just name a few. I'm just your ordinary wife and mom trying to figure out the best for my family and myself. I hope you enjoy reading and maybe even get a little laughter out of my daily life.

First of all let me just introduce myself and my family. My name is Ashley, I am about to turn a whole whopping 23 years old. I know.. what in the world has this little girl possibly have experienced at 23 years old.. I am not your ordinary 23 year old, I really feel like Im atleast 35! My husband, Brock, is 24 years old. And we have two boys: Brayden (3 1/2), and Owen (16 months). We have been together since I was a senior in highschool, going on our 6th year, and just celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary last November. My husband is a Senior Airman in the USAF and I am a sahm. My husband has been in the AF for 2 and a half years. We have been stationed at Vandenberg AFB, Ca for 2 years. Don't love the area, but I have met some wonderful ladies at this base. I think most would agree that we really didn't understand exactly what we were getting outselves into when we followed (or married into) the AF life. You really live the military, you eat it, you breathe it, you love it, you hate it, and you are so proud to be in it. My husband and I call home, Missouri (1 hr away from STL)thats where both our parents live. My husband is currently deployed, but will be back in around a month! I decided to come home during this deployment to stay with my parents. The plan was to save the max amount of money and get to spend time with them since we live 2,000 miles apart.. the money part didn't work out to my advantage and well the time... maybe 8 months is a bit long!! LOL. Im extremely excited and so ready for my husband to get here! So, thats my little family. My husband, myself and our 2 little boys touring the world and experiencing what many don't. The military has brought me many emotions.. but proud trumps them all. I look forward to sharing my life experiences with you, and I promise not all will be about being an AF wife... lol.
